I'm Lindsay Peterson, a Willow River native, born and raised. After four years of working in the Minneapolis and Duluth areas, I've decided its time to come back to my roots and proudly serve the amazing community that has played such an impactful role in helping raise me. I could not be more excited to be home!

As a self-proclaimed people pleaser, I understand the importance of taking time for yourself and ensuring you aren't pouring from an empty cup. Willow + Root has been carefully designed to be your oasis to feel relaxed, pampered and beautiful. My goal is to fill up your cup, so you can leave feeling the best version of yourself.

In my four years working behind the chair, I have honed in on my specialties including low maintenance lived in hair colors, blonding services, hand tied extensions & precision cuts. I pride my skillset on continuing my education and working on perfecting my craft monthly and quarterly to ensure my clients are getting the best services available.

I see my role as your hairstylist a bit differently, I work with my clients to create a long-term hair care plan to ensure their cut, color and style's will always remain fresh and healthy. Whether your appointments are 6 weeks apart or 6 months apart, your hair will still look salon worthy. My job doesn't stop when you leave my chair. After your time with me, you will have the knowledge and resources to maintain your hair at home & never get stuck in a routine again.

When I am not in the salon, depending on the time of year, you'll find me recharging at the lake with my family and friends, walking my two fur babies through town (they're tough to miss - Nova, our Great Dane & Knox, our Springer Spaniel, quite the combo!) or putzing in my flower beds . If it's tundra season as I like to call it, you'll find me inside cooking all the new recipes I can get my hands on or some wild DIY home project. I'm your girl if you're ever stuck in a dinner routine, need help refreshing your home or a haircare refresh!
